Simply Bread

I cannot for the life of me remember where I got this recipe.

It is scribbled on the back of yet another bank statement envelope 


Pre heat oven to 550 degrees
In a large container add yeast and salt
Pour in 3 cups of water
Add flour
Mix well with wooden spoon until flour has been well incorporated
Cover container with lid and rest for 2 or 3 hours
Grab a piece about the size of a grapefruit and cut dough
Do not knead but shape with your hands
Pull the dough from the outside in a few times and lay on a floured pizza stone
Score your bread well with 3 lines using sharp knife
Bake on the middle shelf for 30 minutes
